DAY 1 YEREVAN ARRIVAL – TSAGHKADZOR

Arrival to Zvartnots International Airport. Meet your Phoenix Tour representative. Transfer to the Tsaghkadzor ski resort. Easy and scenic, the Tsaghkadzor ski resort is a family-friendly adventure and a great place to introduce anyone to the wonder of skiing and outdoor exploration. Tsaghkadzor ("Gorge of Flowers" in Armenian) is situated along the southeast side of Mt. Teghenis (2,819m), and the Tsaghkadzor ski resort (1,750m) is located just above the town of Tsaghkadzor, approximately 60 km from Armenia’s capital Yerevan and the Zvartnots International Airport. Arrive in Tsaghkadzor. It’s true that Tsaghkadzor offers you pristine, untouched surroundings, but it also comes with historical attractions that never fail to amaze tourists. Visit the medieval Kecharis Monastery. The architectural complex of Kecharis is the highlight of the town, comprising three churches and three chapels dating back to the 11th century. Do not miss out to see the beautiful khachkars (cross-stones) around the monastery. Besides excellent skiing, Tsaghkadzor offers many off-piste entertainments: bars, saunas, discos, restaurants and excursion programs. The restaurants have a huge variety of mouthwatering dishes of Armenian and European cuisine, live music, and very attentive staff. DAY 2 TSAGHKADZOR – TEGHENIS – TSAGHKADZOR

Breakfast. Transfer from the hotel to the Teghenis ropeway. Take a ride on the Tsaghkadzor ropeway to the top. With vast, snowy landscapes and horizons rimmed with mountains, the Mount Teghenis is the biggest draw, with its terrain for downhill skiing, snowboarding or sledding. From the altitude of 2,819 meters, you can also enjoy the spectacular views of Lake Sevan and the Mount Ararat. Return to Tsaghkadzor. Dinner. Overnight in Tsaghkadzor.

DAY 3 TSAGHKADZOR – TEGHENIS – TSAGHKADZOR

Breakfast. Transfer from the hotel to the Teghenis ropeway. Take a ride on the Tsaghkadzor ropeway to the top. Discover real freedom and take advantage of the most snow in Armenia. Fly downhill at many of the Teghenis ski hills or shine your snowboarding skills. Return to Tsaghkadzor. Dinner. Overnight in Tsaghkadzor.

DAY 4 TSAGHKADZOR – YEREVAN CITY TOUR & DEPARTURE

Breakfast. Check out from hotel. Transfer to Yerevan. Start exploring Yerevan, the Armenia’s capital city and one of the oldest cities in the world. Stop at the Victory Park and Mother Armenia monument to get a spectacular view of the Biblical Mt. Ararat with a panorama of central Yerevan. Take a walking tour of the Cascade complex, with its Sculpture Park and Cafesjian Center for the Arts. The Cascade is a massive white stairway up a hillside in central Yerevan, decorated with green stretches, fountains and waterfalls, that run uphill and crowned with the obelisk of the “Revived Armenia”. Visit the magnificent building of the Opera House, the postmodern Northern Avenue and the city's main Republic Square. Visit the Yerevan’s famous "Dalan" souvenir shop, where you can buy unique Armenian gifts, souvenirs, jewelry and other handicrafts. Take a tour of the legendary "Ararat" Brandy Factory, featuring degustation of the two types of the world renowned Armenian brandy. The Yerevan Brandy Factory, the only and constant producer of "Ararat" brandies, is one of the key stops for official visits of delegations, cultural figures and visitors from all over the world. Stop at the popular farmers market “Gumi Shuka” to buy traditional sweets and dried fruits. It's a fun place to meet vendors and spend time, sampling their foods. The aromas and colors of the local produce will add up to a wonderful and unique experience. Dinner. Transfer to Zvartnots International Airport in the evening. Departure from Yerevan.

ABOUT TSAGHKADZOR SKI LIFTS Originally built to train the Soviet athletes for the 1988 Winter Olympics, Tsaghkadzor ski resort offers the diverse ski runs on the mountain slope, ideal for beginners, for amateur and advanced skiers. The ski season in this fantastic getaway lasts about four months, from mid-December to mid-March, allowing visitors to enjoy winter at its best. The best months for skiing and snowboarding are February and March, although artificial snow machines and the trail groomers guarantee enjoyable skiing in any weather. All lifts are manufactured and operated by the Leitner Group (Italy), and all the chair lifts equipped with magic carpet boarding systems. Apart from the lifts, the resort offers sledding, ski and snowboard rentals as well as skiing instructors.
