Angels’ Canyon | Ararat Province Of Armenia

The Angels’ Canyon is a unique natural monument in the central part of Armenia. In recent years, this sight has become quite popular among both locals and tourists.

The Angels’ Canyon, which attracts with its beauty and healing mineral water, is not far from the city of Vedi, near of the village of Dashtakar, on the border of the Khosrov National Reserve in the Ararat Province of Armenia. The canyon is located 55 kilometers from Yerevan.

A river used to flow through this canyon, the course of which changed over time, and now a beautiful trail has been created for hikers and nature lovers. Hiking here does not require special training, which allows you to visit here even with your kids.

You can get to the canyon by car, but then you need to walk another kilometer. The canyon itself is not that big and there is almost no vegetation on its territory. The trail is surrounded by beautiful boulders that give this place a mysterious look.

Photo lovers will be happy to visit the canyon, walking among the rocks in the rays of the setting sun and taking superb images of this mystical place!

You can combine a visit to the Angels’ Canyon with a hike in the low mountains of the surrounding area. In the north is the Yeranos Mountain Range. In the northeast is the southwestern part of the Geghama Mountain Range. In the east there are the Mzhkatar Mountains, in the west – the Dagnak Mountain Range, and in the south – the Urtsi Mountain Range.
