“Many Armenian Ladies Are Very Beautiful” - Mark Twain, The Great American Writer And Public Figure

Describing the Armenian women of the city of Smyrna in Ottoman Empire in his book “Simples Abroad”, thirty-four-year-old Mark Twain wrote:

“They are all pretty, unusually clean and tidy, and they look as if they had just been taken out of a box. Some young women - I would even say many - are very beautiful, as a rule, they are a little more beautiful than American women - forgive me this anti-patriotic praise.”

Mark Twain, “Simples Abroad” (1869)

The beauty of Armenian women is not subtle and it’s impossible to ignore even when you’re seeing an Armenian woman for the first time. Armenian women have dark hair and fair skin. Their lips are bright and plump, and their eyes and eyelashes are dark and pronounced. With these highly contrasted features, Armenian girls are some of the most stunning women on the planet.
