Visa Requirements

VISA REQUIREMENTS

Find out if you are free of visa to Armenia or you need to apply one, by following our complete visa guide with information on the types of visas, requirements, exceptions, prices, etc.

The Republic of Armenia has an intergovernmental agreement on mutual non-visa entry with Russia, China, Hong Kong, Georgia, Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Argentina, Brazil and Iran.

*Note: Macau SAR passport holders can also travel to Armenia visa free.

For the list of countries whose nationals can obtain a visa upon arrival in Armenia, click here *this function is temporarily suspended. The issuance of visas upon arrival at Zvartnots International Airport has been temporarily suspended. Citizens of those countries who need a visa to Armenia, must obtain it in advance at the diplomatic missions, or consulates of Armenia abroad, or electronically (e-visa).

The citizens of India can also obtain an Armenian entry visa upon arrival, or at the border crossings of the Republic of Armenia. *The issuance of visas upon arrival at Zvartnots International Airport has been temporarily suspended. Citizens of those countries who need a visa to Armenia, must obtain it in advance at the diplomatic missions, or consulates of Armenia abroad, or electronically (e-visa).

Armenian nationals who are citizens of these countries can obtain an Armenian visa without invitation and upon arrival. *The issuance of visas upon arrival at Zvartnots International Airport has been temporarily suspended. Citizens of those countries who need a visa to Armenia, must obtain it in advance at the diplomatic missions, or consulates of Armenia abroad, or electronically (e-visa).

*Note: The citizens of Iraq may obtain an entry visa to Armenia at diplomatic missions and consular institutions of Armenia without invitation.

VISAS ARE PROVIDED:

a) at the Embassies or General Consulates of the Republic of Armenia
b) at the Armenian airports upon arrival, or the border crossings of the Republic of Armenia. *The issuance of visas upon arrival at Zvartnots International Airport has been temporarily suspended. Citizens of those countries who need a visa to Armenia, must obtain it in advance at the diplomatic missions, or consulates of Armenia abroad, or electronically (e-visa).

VISAS PRICE CHART

a) Visitor single entry visa, up to 21 days of stay (3,000 AMD)
b) Visitor single entry visa, up to 120 days of stay (15,000 AMD)
c) Visitor multiple entry visa, up to 60 days of stay, with validity of 6 months (20,000 AMD)
d) Visitor multiple entry visa, up to 120 days of stay, with validity of 1 year (40,000 AMD)
e) Transit single entry visa, up to 3 days of stay (10,000 AMD)
f) Transit multiple entry visa, up to 3 days of stay (18,000 AMD)

*Note: For children under 18 all visas are free.

ATTENTION!

A visa issued for 120, 21 and 3 days can only be extended at the passport and visa office in Yerevan. In case, if your visa is expired, an administrative fine in the amount of 50,000-100,000 AMD (according to the Code of Administrative Offenses 201) is collected, and the person is not allowed to enter the territory of the Republic of Armenia for 1 year. The visas are not extended at Zvartnots International Airport.
