Got sweet tooth? While touring in Armenia, treat yourself with our special sweet - the Armenian Sweet Sujukh! These long sausage-shaped candies feature threaded walnut halves, coated in caramel-resembling mixture of cooked grape juice, molasses, sugar, all purpose flour, cornstarch, cinnamon, ground clove, and water.

First, the walnuts strung on long strings, and then they are repeatedly dipped in thick molasses of grapes, apricots or pomegranates depending upon your choices. Then the sausage-shaped candy, resembling a shiny brown marble necklace, hung to air dry. Whether eaten fresh or after months of storage, the Sweet Sujukh tastes delicious!
